The Black Bull has been sold to Middleton Lodge Estate. The new owners plan to build on the pub’s strong heritage and reputation, ensuring it continues to be a welcoming and much-loved local for the village.

Our team remains incredibly important to us and we’re pleased to confirm that everyone will be fully supported through the transition. Colleagues will either be transferring as part of the sale or will be offered roles across other Provenance Inns venues.

For guests with existing restaurant or events bookings, these will be offered alternative Provenance Inns locations, Middleton Lodge, or a full refund of any deposits paid. This change forms part of Provenance Inns’ wider strategy to strengthen its portfolio, focus investment on its strongest-performing sites and secure the long-term sustainability of the business.
